The petitioner has assailed the order dated 14th May, 2024 passed by the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandannagar, Hooghly, in GR case no. 954 of 2018 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him.

The petitioner was granted bail initially and failed to appear before the learned Magistrate on the dates fixed before him for which warrant of arrest was issued against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Magistrate within seven days from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned Magistrate within the stipulated time frame and files an application for bail, the learned Magistrate shall deal with the same in accordance with law. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Magistrate within the stipulated time frame, the learned Magistrate shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner in accordance with law without further reference to this Court. Warrant of arrest issued vide order dated 14th May, 2024 be stayed till 28th February, 2025.

CRR 11 of 2025 is disposed of.
