The petitioner is aggrieved by the reply given under the Right to Information Act, 2005 by the Central Public Information Officer on March 1, 2023 (Annexure P7, p.27).

The reply by the CPIO clearly mentioned that if the applicant was not satisfied with the reply, he may apply before the first appellate authority at the address mentioned. The petitioner chose to sit tight without approaching the statutory forum and filed the instant writ petition in January 2025.

As the petitioner has consciously chosen not to avail the remedy as provided in the statute within the prescribed time-period, accordingly, the court is not inclined to exercise jurisdiction in the matter. 4.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 5.

Supplementary affidavit filed in court be taken on record.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
