1. Allegedly commercial quantity of contraband items was seized from the joint possession of the accused persons including this petitioner. The petitioner says that he is in custody for 11 months. Charge was framed in November, 2024. Witness action has not yet begun. He prays for bail.

2. Learned State advocate tells us that charge was framed on November 16, 2024. Thereafter, on three occasions, the Presiding Officer was on leave. Yesterday and today were dates fixed for examination of witness.

3. In view of the restrictions in Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage. We also do not find that it can be said that there is inordinate delay in progress of trial as of now. Signed By :
