1. Affidavit of service and the police report are taken on record.

2. In this public interest litigation, the petitioner alleges that the private respondents have encroached and constructed in a waterbody and prayed for action under the West Bengal Inland Fisheries Act.

3. Learned advocate appearing for the private respondents has produced before us a memo issued by the Assistant Director and Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Bishnupur - I dated 16th January, 2025 wherein the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer has directed the private respondents to remove the structures from the Doba at their cost and restore the Doba to its original form by 15 days positively failing which legal action would be initiated.

4. Thus, the representation given by the petitioner has been acted upon.

5. Therefore, we leave it open to the Block Land & Land Officer, Bishnupur - I Block to proceed in accordance with law and it is open to the private respondents to canvass all issues before the authority.

6. With these above observations, writ petition stands disposed of.

7. No costs.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
