1. In this writ petition the petitioner prayed for granting him promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector (Grade - I) after setting aside the promotion granted to 5th respondent. Record reveals that the 5th respondent was promoted to the post of Electrician (Grade - I) on 13.08.2004 whereas petitioner was promoted to the post of Electrician (Grade - I) on 22.05.2008. Therefore, the 5th respondent was placed in the gradation list under Serial No.1 as against the petitioner in Serial No.3 under Electrician (Grade - I). The authorities were thus justified in granting promotion to the 5th respondent ahead of the petitioner.

2. This Court has already dismissed the writ petition being, W.P.A. 13098 of 2007 by an order passed on 25.04.2023 whereby it has been observed that the petitioner was promoted to the post of Sub-Inspector (Grade - I) (Crematorium) with effect from 27th December, 2018.

3. In view thereof, no further order is required to be passed in this writ petition and the same accordingly stands disposed of.

4. There shall be no order as to costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
