Considering the urgency pleaded by the petitioner in CAN 1 of 2020, the instant writ petition is taken up for hearing via video conference.

Accordingly, the application being CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.

The writ petitioner claims to have participated in an auction for procurement of some moveable properties, namely, uprooted trees. He claims to have become successful in the auction process and is also stated to have paid the consideration money therefor. Counsel for the petitioner states that when he went to pick up the purchased tree logs, the same were missing. He further submits that his client has made a representation dated 20th September, 2020 to the Secretary, Public Works Department, Government of West Bengal and the Chief Engineer, North Zone,

Public Works Department which has not been replied till date.

In those circumstances, the respondent no.3 is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation as above within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner may be heard in person or through his learned Advocate and a reasoned order may be communicated to the petitioner within seven days thereafter.

With the above directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
