The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the failure of the respondent corporation to provide an electric connection.

Counsel for the CESC relies on paragraph 5 of the petition submits that the petitioner desires electricity connection at the plot which belongs to the Kolkata Port Trust. He further submits that the petitioner has no documentation to show that he is in possession of the premises.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the respondent corporation there is no direction that can be passed on the CESC at this stage.

However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the respondent authorities with the necessary proof in accordance with law as to the possession of the said premises.

With the aforesaid directions, W.P.A. 7131 of 2020 stands disposed of without any order as to costs. Consequently CAN 1 of 2020 is also disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.
