The appeal is directed against an order dated February 10, 2020 by which the disciplinary proceedings pending against the appellant herein have been directed to be disposed of in accordance with law within a specified time.

Unfortunately, with the lockdown due to the pandemic after the order impugned was passed, no progress has been made in the disciplinary proceedings. Every endeavour should be made to ensure that the disciplinary proceedings are concluded within a period of six months after the puja vacation. The conducting officer should ensure that no adjournment is granted to either side and that a reasoned order is passed.

The order impugned has not prejudiced the appellant in any manner or form for the appellant to be aggrieved thereby. Indeed, the order impugned recorded that the merits of the charges had not been gone into and the process was expedited since the appellant complained of the long pendency thereof. F.M.A. 922 of 2020 together with the interim applications therein being CAN 1, 2 & 3 of 2020 are disposed of without any order as to costs.
