Petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference.

We have heard the learned counsels for the parties. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State has drawn our attention to previous orders passed by co-ordinate Benches in which similar prayer for anticipatory bail was rejected. It appears from record that the petitioner is the same person cited as accused in the charge-sheet. The prima facie involvement of the petitioner in dealing with narcotic substance, which is above commercial quantity is

established. The trial is at the advance stage. Out of 11 witnesses, 8 witnesses have already been examined. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

However, we request the learned Special Judge-inCharge, Krishnanagar, Nadia to expedite the trial and conclude the proceeding preferably within a period of six months from the resumption of normalcy.

CRM 6563 of 2020 and CRAN 1 of 2020 are disposed of.
