The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

Merely on the basis of the statement of the person arrested in an NDPS case the petitioner has been roped in.

The State produces the case diary. It does not appear that there is any material against the petitioner other than the uncorroborated statement of one person initially arrested. Since no contraband was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and the petitioner is sought to be proceeded against merely on the basis of the statement of an accused, the petitioner is entitled to anticipatory bail. In the event of arrest, the petitioner will be released on bail on furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of like amount, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer. In addition, the petitioner will abide

by the conditions in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
