Petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within a month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conferencing.

Considering the earlier orders passed in this proceeding and having regard to the fact that commercial quantity of contraband alleged to have been recovered from the petitioner and the fact that the matter has riped for trial, we are not inclined to allow the prayer for bail of the petitioner at this stage.

However, we direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within a period of four months from the next date fixed by the said court without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

CRM 6582 and CRAN 1 of 2020 are disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
