The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner says that upon the petitioner applying for statutory bail when the investigation had not been completed within time, his prayer was rejected.

The State produces material to demonstrate that the period of investigation was duly extended in accordance with law. In such view of the matter and since commercial quantum of contraband recovered from the petitioner, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

CRM 6589 of 2020 and the interim application therein are disposed of.
