The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per the Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

CRAN 1 of 2020 is accordingly, disposed of.

We have been informed that the trial has commenced. The date of production of the accused persons is fixed by the learned trial court on 9th October, 2020 and depositions of the four witnesses have been completed till now.

Considering the statement of the victim under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure directly implicating the petitioner and having regard to the past conduct of the petitioner that he was absconding for two years, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. We, however, direct the learned trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible without granting any

unnecessary adjournment to either of the party. The report filed by Mr. Ahmed, learned Advocate is kept with the record.
