Roy Ms. Rita Datta ... for the State The petitioners undertake to affirm and appropriately stamp the petition as per the Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioners claim that there was a scuffle between the two rival groups which resulted in the police being called in and it is alleged that the police personnel were man-handled. The State produces the injury reports. The injuries do not appear to be serious. It does not appear that the petitioners may have intended to assault any police personnel, but only that the petitioners may have resisted the police personnel while the police personnel attempted to disengage the rival groups. Considering the material, the petitioners are entitled to

anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioners will be released on anticipatory bail upon furnishing security of Rs.10,000/-(Ten Thousand only) each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer.

The petitioners will also comply with the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code.

CRM 6738 of 2020 and the interim application therein are disposed of.
