Considering the urgency pleaded by the petitioner in CAN 1 of 2020, the instant writ petition is taken up for hearing via video conference.
Accordingly, the application being CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.
The son, namely, Pandab Hazra and daughterin-law, namely, Susmita Hazra are personally present in Court pursuant to the order dated 27th January, 2022.
The Officer-in-charge, Salar Police Station has reported to the State Advocate in instructions dated 6th February, 2022 that the son and daughter-in-law have undertaken in writing to take care of the mother. The mother shall forthwith returned to her residence and stay there.
This Court notes the observations of the Officerin-charge, Salar Police Station that they are keeping a strict watch over the house and any complaint and/or apprehension by the writ petitioner against her son and daughter-in-law shall be attended to forthwith. The personal appearances of the son and daughter-in-law of the petitioner are dispensed with on their undertaking already given to the police and this court that they will take in fact good care of the writ petitioner, namely, Pratima Hazra.
The report of the Officer-in-charge, Salar Police Station dated 6th February, 2022 is kept with the record.
In view of the above, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
