The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The matter pertains to the murder of an 18-year-old girl. The petitioner claims that the only material against the petitioner is that the petitioner's vehicle was seen to carry the girl before her dead body was discovered.

The State says that in addition, the statement of this petitioner led to the discovery of the wearing apparel of the victim. Since it appears that this petitioner's vehicle may have been used in course of the commission of the offence, no immediate lenience can be shown to the petitioner. The prayer for bail is refused at this stage.

CRM 6801 of 2020 along with the interim application therein are disposed of.
