CRM 6803 of 2020 CRAN 1 of 2020 (Via Video Conference) In Re: - An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Khargram P.S. Case No.301 of 2019 dated 12.10.2019 under Sections 498A/326/307/34 and added Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner says that he has been in custody for more than 400 days and the matter has not yet been committed for there to be any chance of an imminent trial.

The State says that the dying declaration of the victim referred to the petitioner herein pouring kerosene on her and setting her on fire with the help of two others.

Considering the material against the petitioner, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

CRM 6803 of 2020 along with the interim application therein are disposed of.
