The petitioner has filed a suit seeking dissolution of his marriage with the opposite party being Matrimonial Suit 404 of 2018.

The said suit is pending before the 1st Court of Learned Additional District Judge, Ulberia, Howrah.

The petitioner by the present application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is praying a direction upon the learned Court below for expeditious disposal of the said suit complaining inordinate delay in its disposal.

The normal functioning of the Court has been disrupted due to the outbreak of Covid-19 Pandemic. The prevailing circumstance does not warrant passing of the direction as prayed for. With the above observation C.O 1214 of 2020 and the connected application for urgency being IA.

No. CAN 1 of 2020 are disposed of. No order as to costs.

However, this order will not prevent the petitioner to seek appropriate order for expeditious disposal of the said suit after resumption of normal functioning of the Courts.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
