The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner claims that the petitioner had nothing to do with the alleged abduction of the husband of the complainant. The State says that the last call recorded on the mobile phone of the victim was from this petitioner and the victim has not been seen since November 2, 2019.

Since the victim has not yet been recovered, the prayer for the petitioner to be granted anticipatory bail cannot be acceded to at this stage. The petitioner must report to the investigating officer.

The investigating agency will be entitled to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
