Pursuant to a complaint lodged by the petitioner against one Uttam Kumar Halder, the respondent No. 4 in the writ petition the police has registered a First Information Report being FIR No. 1107 dated 29th November, 2011.

The petitioner complains that the investigation process is not yet over.

Considering the fact that the matter pertains to a senior citizen and is pending for a considerable period of time the Officer-in-Charge of the Sonarpur Police Station is directed to ensure that the investigation proceeding in respect of the First Information Report mentioned hereinabove is concluded within a period of four months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

W.P.A. 7209 of 2020 and CAN 1 of 2020 are disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
