The petitioner prays for execution of the direction passed by the Engineer, Chandannagore Municipal Corporation on December 10, 2019 for road cutting for laying underground electric cable line.

It appears from a communication dated August 28, 2020 written by the Assistant Engineer & Station Manager, Chandannagar-II Customer Care Centre, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited to the Inspector in Charge, Strand Road, Chandannagar Police Station regarding posting of the police personnel for effecting electric connection at the venue. The petitioner submits that since thereafter no steps have been taken by the Distribution Company to effect supply.

The respondent no. 3 is directed to take prompt necessary steps for effecting electric connection at the premises in question within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The writ petition being WPA No. 7215 of 2020 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
