The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference. Learned Counsel for the petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail due to long detention in custody. The prayer for bail has recently been rejected by a Coordinate Bench on 9th May, 2020 and there has been no change in circumstances in the meantime from the earlier order of rejection. However, we appreciate the prayer made for expeditious disposal of the case. In view of the fact that the charge-sheet has already been filed and the trial court has fixed December 1, 2020 for framing of charges to expedite the trial.

We direct the trial court to frame the charge on the date fixed without granting any adjournment to either of the parties and thereafter to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible adhering to a time schedule to be

framed by the learned trial judge at the time of framing of the charges.

This application accordingly stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
