In re: CAN 1 of 2020 This is an application for urgent hearing of the writ petition and is disposed of by taking up the writ petition for consideration.

The petitioner seeks general transfer on special ground. The respondent authorities are represented.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent authorities submits that there may not be proper vacancy for transfer of the petitioner.

In the facts of the present case, since the authorities are yet to take a decision on the application made by the petitioner for transfer on special ground, it would be appropriate to request the respondent no. 1 to consider and decide the

application in accordance with law. In the event, he finds that, he is in a position to allow the application, he will do so. In the event, he finds that he is not in a position to allow the application, he will pass a reasoned order, which he will communicate to the petitioner forthwith thereafter. Needless to say that while considering the application of the petitioner for general transfer on special ground, the authorities will act in accordance with law.

It is expected that the entire exercise is completed within a period of 12 weeks from date.

W.P.A. 7267 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
