In re: CAN 1 of 2020 This is an application for urgent hearing of the writ petition and is disposed of by taking up the writ petition for consideration.

Petitioner seeks pension.

State is represented.

The petitioner applied for pension. The last application is dated August 25, 2020 and is yet to be disposed of. In such circumstances, in my view, interest of justice will be subserved by requiring the respondent no. 2 to

consider and decide the application of pension made by the petitioner in accordance with law. In the event, the respondent no. 2 finds that the petitioner is entitled to pension, he will take appropriate steps for the purpose of disbursement of the same. In the event, he finds that the petitioner is not entitled to pension, then he will pas a reasoned order which he will communicate to the petitioner forthwith thereafter. It is expected that the entire exercise is completed within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order to him.

W.P.A. 7265 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
