(through Video Conference) Mr. Indrajit Bhattacharjee Mr. Hareram Singh ...for the Petitioners The grievance of the petitioner is that an application filed under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (in brevity, "SARFAESI Act") is pending before the District Magistrate, Hooghly and has not yet been disposed of.

None appears on behalf of the State-respondents inspite of service.

Significantly the application under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act was filed in the year 2019.

In view of the submissions made by the Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner I direct the District Magistrate, Hooghly to consider and dispose of the

application under Section 14 of the SARFAESI Act as early as possible preferably within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the above directions this writ petition being WPA No. 7293 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs. CAN No. 1 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
