21.09.2020 Item No. 33 Sdas rejected C.R.M. 6921 of 2020 with CRAN 1 of 2020 (via video conferencing) In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Bhowanipur Police Station Case No. 141 of 2016 dated 27.04.2016 under Sections 120B/201/363/365/366A/370(5)/376/419/420 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4/17 of the POCSO Act and Sections 80/81/84 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

And In Re : Keshab Das ..... petitioner Mr. Amitabha Karmakar ... for the petitioner Mr. Ranabir Raychowdhury Mr. Mainak Gupta ... for the State Petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conferencing.

Accordingly, CRAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.

Having considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in trafficking women for sexual exploitation and as trial is in progress, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
