The grievance of the petitioner is that she has lodged a criminal case being Khardah Police Station Case No. 346 of 2020 dated July 08, 2020 under Sections 498A/354B of the Indian Penal Code. But the police authorities are not investigating the said case properly.

Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, learned counsel appearing for the State respondents, files a report of the Officer-in-Charge Khardah Police Station wherefrom it appears that the statement of the petitioner under Section 164 Cr.P.C. in connection with the said criminal case has already been recorded and the accused persons were arrested but were subsequently enlarged on bail. The said report is taken on record.

The respondent police authorities are directed to expedite the investigation to facilitate the early disposal of the said criminal case.

WPA 7321 OF 2020 is disposed with the above direction.

The connected urgency application being CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
