The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since first week of July, 2020 and he has been falsely implicated in the present case. The learned advocate further submits that there are no criminal antecedents of the present petitioner. As such, further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

The learned advocate for the State draws the attention of this Court to the memorandum of evidence as well as the statements available along with the same.

We have perused the materials which have been supplied by the State as well as the statements which are available along with the records. On perusal of the same, we are of the opinion that the nature, gravity and the manner in which the vital blow was allegedly inflicted by the present

petitioner upon the deceased do not inspire confidence for releasing him on bail at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. 6943 of 2020 is disposed of.
