Petitioner Mr. Apalak Basu, Mr. Amit Biswas, Mr. Nazir Ahmed .. for the Petitioner Mr. Imran Ali, Mrs. Manasi Ray ..for the State The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within one moth of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference.

Accordingly, IA No. CRAN/1/2020 is disposed of. The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the victim are both adults. There was a long standing relationship between them.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the nature of allegations and the fact that there was some kind of relationship between the two, we do find that this is a case which warrants custodial interrogation.

We allow the application for anticipatory bail OF the petitioner. In the event of arrest the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond Rs.10,000/- together with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.

The application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M. 6966 of 2020 is allowed.
