The petitioners complain of alleged misbehaviour by certain officials of Tangra Police Station in course of raid on her brother, Joydeb Das, against whom a charge-sheet under the N.D.P.S. Act is pending trial. 2.

The State has used an affidavit-in-opposition indicating that as many as 17 cases have been filed and are pending and/or some are disposed of against the said Joydeb Das and his associates under Tangra Police Station.

Be that as it may, since the trial is on and this Court has not interfered with the same and has disposed of W.P.A. No. 7350 of 2020 (Nepal Das - Vs. - Union of India & Ors.) on 21st April, 2023, this Court directs the Commissioner of Police, Kolkata and/or his designated officer to look into the allegations made into the complaint dated 23rd June, 2020 and 25th

June, 2020, inter alia, at page 66 of the writ petition and take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 4.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the instant writ petition. Hence, W.P.A. No. 7351 of 2020 shall stand disposed of.

In view of the disposal of the main writ petition, the connected application being CAN 1 of 2020 shall also stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
