Petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within a month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conferencing.

Mr. Karmakar, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, submits that the chemical examination report has not been received by the State.

He also submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case.

Therefore, the petitioner should be released on bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

He produces the Memo of Evidence and further submits that 500 Grams of Brown Sugar has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner which is commercial quantity.

Therefore, he should not be granted bail.

On the submission advanced by the learned Counsel for the State and after perusing the Memo of Evidence, in our considered view, this is not a fit case for granting bail.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

CRM 6986 of 2020 and CRAN 1 of 2020 are thus disposed of.
