Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 97 days and although the present petitioner is the husband of the deceased yet other relations have been granted bail or anticipatory bail by a co-ordinate bench of this court. Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of this court to the fact that the petitioner assaulted the deceased and the post mortem report reflects that the death was of homicidal in nature.

In view of the facts that the case is yet to be committed before the learned Sessions Court, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. The application for bail being C.R.M. 7000 of 2020 and C.R.A.N. 1 of 2020 are disposed of.
