CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of by taking up the writ petition for consideration.

Petitioners complain of encroachment upon public highway.

State is represented.

In the facts of the present case, since the petitioner complain of encroachment to a public highway, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent no.5 to visit the locale, demarcate the same. In the event, he finds, upon demarcation that there are any encroachment, he will inform the appropriate authority with regard thereto. The appropriate authority upon receipt of such information from the respondent no.5, will take appropriate steps for the purpose of eviction of the encroachers, in accordance with law.

It is expected that, the demarcation is concluded within a period of four weeks from the date of

communication of this order and a proceeding for eviction if there is any encroachment initiated within two weeks thereafter.

W.P.A. No.7381 of 2020 is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
