CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of by taking up the writ petition for consideration.

Petitioner assails the provisional assessment as also the final assessment with regard to an electricity bill. The Distribution Company and the State are represented.

Learned advocate for the Distribution Company submits that, the allegation of hooking stands established. Moreover, the authorities passed an order of final assessment which is impugned herein. There is a provision for appeal, in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by an order of final

assessment.

In the facts of the present case, since, there is a statutory alternative remedy available to the petitioner against the order of assessment, I am not inclined to interfere under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. W.P.A. 7385 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
