In re: CAN 1 of 2020 This is an application for urgent hearing of the writ petition and is disposed of by taking up the writ petition for consideration.

Petitioner complains of police inaction.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that, the private respondents are running a factory which is in violation of the Pollution Control norms. He submits that, police are not taking any steps. State is represented.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits that, the police have taken steps in accordance with the order of the Pollution Control Board. The police made a local enquiry and did not find anything untoward. On enquiry, the police found that, the petitioner is seeking to develop the property. According to the police, the disputes between the petitioner and the private respondents are civil in nature.

It appears that the private respondents claim to be tenants under the petitioner. The private respondents may or may not be acting in violation of the pollution control norms. It is for the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority for such purpose. As on date, there is no material on record to suggest that, the private respondents are acting in violation of any order of the Pollution Control Board. The disputes between the private parties appears to be civil in nature. In such circumstances, I am not minded to interfere in the present writ petition.

W.P.A. 7391 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
