The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per the Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

Accordingly, CRAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.

In spite of best efforts, the video link with the petitioner could not be established. The learned Counsel for the petitioner did not appear and also did not respond to any calls from the Court on the last occasion. In spite of repeated attempts being made today to contact the petitioner both by video link as well as by telephone, it appears that the petitioner is not responding to any such calls. Considering the gravity of the offence and the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicating the petitioner, we are not inclined to allow this application for bail. The application for bail is rejected.
