Case No. 1 of 2020(Dinhata Police Station Case No. 544 of 2010) dated 26.12.2010 under Section 21(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within a month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.
Accordingly, the application being CRAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.
Having considered the materials on record and recovery of the contraband articles of commercial quantity from the custody of the petitioner and in view of statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for bail being CRM 7075 of 2020 is rejected.
The police must take immediate steps for collecting the CFSL report if he has not collected it as yet, as it has come to a notice that a
large number of reports prepared by the CFSL have not been collected by the police thereby delaying the trial. We request the learned trial judge to expedite the trial and conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
