It appears from the records that, the petitioner who is a senior citizen, applied before the Sub Divisional Officer under the provision of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 on September 8, 2020. Such application is yet to be disposed of.

In such circumstances, the respondent no.4 is directed to consider and decide the application of the petitioner under the Act of 2007 as expeditiously as possible. The respondent no.4 will afford a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the private respondents. He is at liberty to hear such other parties and consult such documents that he deems appropriate. He will endeavour to dispose of the proceedings of the petitioner within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. W.P.A.7515 of 2020 is disposed of.
