Heard the learned advocates appearing on behalf of the parties.

Petitioners undertake to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference.

The application, being CRAN 1 of 2020, is disposed of. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that they are in custody for 300 days.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioners had abducted the victim for ransom.

We have considered the materials on record including the statements of the witnesses clearly disclosing the role of the petitioners and other co-accused persons in the alleged crime. In view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.

The application for bail, being CRM No. 7206 of 2020, is accordingly rejected.
