Considering the urgency pleaded by the petitioners in CAN 1 of 2020, the instant writ petition is taken up for hearing via video conference. Accordingly, the application being CAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.

The only issue that remains for decision is a notice dated 16th September, 2020 issued by an e-mail to the petitioners by the Damodar Valley Corporation as regards payment of Rs.61,62,000/-.

It appears, and Mr. Jaydip Kar, learned Senior Advocate appearing on behalf of the Damodar Valley Corporation fairly submits, that his clients have received a sum of Rs.65,00,000/- (Rupees sixty five lacs only) with the letter dated 21st September, 2020.

In that view of the matter, the notice dated 16th September, 2020 shall not be given effect to. It is made clear that apart from the above, this Court has not decided any other issues raised in this writ petition and the parties may raise the same as and when their cause of action arises or reiterated. In view of the above, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
