Petitioner seeks fixation of pay under "ROPA Rules, 2019", regularisation of leave and other reliefs. State and the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education are represented.

Learned advocate for the State submits that, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) wrote to the School Authority for relevant document for consideration. The School Authorities are yet to respond.

It appears from the records made available to Court that, the petitioner made a representation dated July

18, 2020, which is yet to be disposed of by the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.).

According to the State, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) wrote to the School Authorities for relevant documents.

In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to direct the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) to consider and decide the representation dated July 18, 2020, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. The District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) will afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and to the School Authority. The District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) is at liberty to hear such other parties and consult such documents that it deems necessary. The District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) will communicate its reasoned order to the interested parties forthwith thereafter.

WPA No. 7586 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
