Affidavit of compliance filed by the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur, in terms of this Court's order dated January 20, 2022 be kept with the records. We have gone through the affidavit. It is clear that the impugned construction has been demolished in its entirety. We have also seen photographs of the demolition process annexed to the affidavit. Learned Senior Standing Counsel representing the State says that he has personally ascertained from the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur that this Court's order dated January 17, 2020 has been fully complied with.

There has been some delay in implementation of this court's order dated January 17, 2020. Learned Senior Standing Counsel offers unconditional apology on behalf of his client for such delay. Such apology is accepted also keeping in view the outbreak of the pandemic.

Since the order concerned has been complied with, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the contempt petition pending.

The contempt application, being no. CPAN 469 of 2020 and the connected application, being no. CAN 1 of 2020 are accordingly disposed of.
