The advocate-on-record for the petitioners undertakes to affirm and properly stamp the petition as per the rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video-conference on the basis of such undertaking. Accordingly, CRAN 1 of 2020 is disposed of.
The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent of charges and they have been falsely implicated in the instant case.
Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and further contends that more than 25 kgs of ganja was recovered from the joint possession of the petitioners. Therefore, the court should not grant bail in favour of the petitioners.
Considering the submissions advanced by the learned advocates for the respective parties and after perusing the materials in the case diary, we are not inclined to grant bail to the present petitioners.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.
With the aforesaid, CRM 7315 of 2020 is disposed of.
