The contempt application is finally heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the applicants and alleged contemnors.

The learned advocate representing the alleged contemnors has placed before this Court the decision taken by the concerned authority of Midnapore Municipality dated 25th April, 2024 and the same is taken on record.

According to the alleged contemnors, the order dated 25th April, 2024 has been passed on conclusion of proceeding under Section 218 of the West Bengal Municipal Act, 1993.

The learned advocate representing the applicants disputes the findings made by the concerned authority of Midnapore Municipality as recorded in the order dated 25th April, 2024. Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties, it appears that the order passed by the Coordinate Bench on 14th January, 2020 stands complied with in view of the steps taken by the concerned authority of Midnapore Municipality and the order being passed on 25th April, 2024, Accordingly, the contempt application stands disposed of and the contempt proceeding stands dropped.

However, this order shall not preclude the applicants to take steps in accordance with law against the order dated 25th April, 2024.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
