Petitioner seeks disposal of an application for death cum retirement benefit as well as family pension. State is represented.
It appears from the records made available to Court that, the petitioner applied for such benefits by a writing dated July 6, 2020. Such application is yet to be decided. In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent no.4 to decide the application of the
petitioner dated July 6, 2020, in accordance with law. In the event, he finds that, the petitioner is entitled to the relief, as prayed for, he will take appropriate suitable follow up action with regard thereto. In the event, the respondent no.4 disallows any portion of the claim made by the petitioner, he will pass a reasoned order in respect of such disallowance and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately. It is expected that, the entire exercise is completed within a period of eight weeks from the date communication of this order.
