Despite service, none appears on behalf of the private respondents, although the petitioner and the respondent-authorities are represented through learned counsel.

The petitioner, being a senior citizen, alleges that, despite having obtained a decree of permanent injunction from a civil court against the private respondents, the police are inactive on complaints of the petitioner in respect of the property-in-question regarding criminal acts being allegedly perpetrated by the private respondents. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent-authorities files a report, which is

taken on record. The report clearly indicates that General Diary Entry No. 1175 dated July, 28, 2020 was recorded in the Pingla Police Station pursuant to the petitioner's complaints and a prosecution under Section 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, bearing Pingla PS NCR No. 262 of 2020 dated August 2, 2020, has been initiated. It is submitted that due enquiry is going on in connection with the said case.

Accordingly, W. P. A. 7744 of 2020 is disposed of by directing respondent no. 3 to ensure that the enquiry, as indicated above, reaches its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible, and to ensure that peace and tranquility is maintained in the locality where the property-inquestion is situated. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
