The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per the Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

CRAN 1 of 2020 is accordingly, disposed of.

The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in no way involved in the commission of the alleged offence. He is the brother of the principal accused.

The learned Counsel for the State submits that the statement of the eyewitness clearly shows the involvement and the complicity of the petitioner in the offence of kidnapping of a minor child. The child has not yet been recovered.

Having considered the materials on record and the stage of investigation, we are not inclined to allow this application for anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.) (Soumen Sen, J.)
