Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the process of evaluating the applications were kept in abeyance due to the pandemic. The authorities subsequently commenced the evaluation. He submits that, the authorities will require some more time to arrive at a decision on the applications received for allotment of the fair price shop.

In such circumstances, it would be appropriate to request the authorities to complete the evaluation and the allotment process for the fair price shop as expeditiously as possible and preferably

within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order to them.

W.P.A. 7846 of 2020 is disposed of.
