Petitioner Mrs. Juin Dutta Chakraborty, Advocate ......for the Petitioner Mr. Madhusudan Sur, Advocate Mr. Dipankar Pramanik, Advocate ......for the State The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of the normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner says that the petitioner had no role to play in the suicidal death of the victim.

The State says that that petitioner and the victim had a relationship and it was only upon the petitioner rejecting the victim that she was driven to commit suicide. Considering the circumstances and the fact that the petitioner may not have had any direct role in the unnatural death of the victim, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner may be unnecessary. However, the petitioner will report to the Investigating Officer as and when called, till the investigation is completed.

Subject to the above, in the event of arrest, the petitioner will be enlarged on bail on furnishing security of Rs.10,000 (Rs. Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The petitioner should abide by the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. CRM 7486 of 2020 and the interim application therein are disposed of.
