Petitioner seeks electricity connection.

Learned Advocate appearing on behalf of the Distribution company submits that, the distribution company was resisted from granting electricity supply. He seeks police protection. In the facts of the presence case, since the petitioner is in settled possession, the Distribution Company will supply electricity within four weeks of the petitioner complying with all statutory formalities and paying all costs and charges, expenses with regard thereto. The Distribution Company is at liberty to approach the appropriate police station in the event the Distribution Company is resisted from giving electricity supply to the petitioner. The police authorities are directed to ensure that,

no breach of peace occurs at the locale when the Distribution Company supplies electricity to the petitioner. W.P.A. 7865 of 2020 is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs.
